Hot Springs Open Year-Round in Alaska
Hot springs that stay open through winter, when snow soaking is at its best. Check road conditions before you drive.
We list 4 in Alaska: the hottest is Tenakee Springs Bathhouse (up to 107°F) and the lowest listed adult price is Chena Hot Springs Resort ($20).

Chena Hot Springs Resort
A year-round resort at the end of Chena Hot Springs Road northeast of Fairbanks, built around an outdoor hot springs lake of about 106°F that is open only to guests 18 and over. The Pool House also has an indoor family pool and indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and day passes need no hotel stay. The resort has lodge rooms, cabins, summer camping and the Aurora Ice Museum.

Serpentine Hot Springs
Hot springs in Bering Land Bridge National Preserve, piped into an enclosed bathhouse next to a year-round bunkhouse and an unmaintained gravel airstrip. There are no roads, so most visitors fly in by air taxi, and in winter snowmachine trails are staked from Nome and Shishmaref. The site, known in Inupiaq as Iyat, has long cultural and spiritual importance.

Tenakee Springs Bathhouse
A public bathhouse in the middle of Tenakee Springs, a village on Chichagof Island that grew up around its 106-107°F sulfur mineral spring. A volunteer Bathhouse Committee runs it, and men and women bathe at separate set hours. Entry is by donation, and the town is reached by Alaska Marine Highway ferry or scheduled air service.

White Sulphur Springs
A Forest Service bathhouse and public-use cabin on Bertha Bay, on the outer coast of Chichagof Island in the West Chichagof-Yakobi Wilderness, about 65 miles northwest of Sitka. Boaters anchor at Mirror Harbor and walk a fairly level 0.9-mile trail, or skiff in from Porcupine Bay. The cabin sleeps four and is reserved on Recreation.gov.
