Kosk Creek Hot Springs (Hunt and Kosk)
Rustic hot spring pools of varying temperatures on a private ranch along Kosk Creek near Big Bend in eastern Shasta County. The landowner now sells day passes and campsites through Hipcamp; earlier free access has ended. There is no potable water or trash service, so visitors pack out everything.

Drakesbad Guest Ranch
A historic guest ranch in Warner Valley in the southeast corner of Lassen Volcanic National Park, reached by a partly gravel road from Chester. Guests stay in lodge rooms, cabins or bungalows with all meals included, and guided rides go to Boiling Springs Lake and Devils Kitchen. The ranch's pool has not reopened since the 2021 Dixie Fire, and the operator says it is still in the planning stages.

Feather River Hot Springs
A small, rustic private campground and cabin site on the Feather River off Highway 70 near Twain, with two riverside tubs at 99 to 104F. Soaks are booked by text in two-hour slots, swimsuits are required, and children are not allowed at the springs. The operator has posted that the springs and all lodging are temporarily closed for medical reasons.

Vichy Springs Resort
A historic resort and country inn in the hills east of Ukiah, operating since 1854 and listed as California Historical Landmark #980. Its signature is 14 tubs of naturally carbonated mineral water at about 90F, alongside a 104F hot pool and a seasonal 25-meter swimming pool. Day visitors pay by 2-hour, 3-hour or all-day blocks and can use trails on the 700-acre reserve; bathing suits are required.

Orr Hot Springs
A small clothing-optional resort on 27 acres at the headwaters of Big River, about 12 miles west of Ukiah on Orr Springs Road. The bathhouse has private and communal tubs, a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and cold plunge, and guests cook their own meals in a shared kitchen because no food is sold. Day use runs noon to 9pm by reservation, and there is no cell service or WiFi.

Wilbur Hot Springs
An off-grid, solar-powered hot springs hotel on Sulphur Creek in western Colusa County, surrounded by a 1,560-acre nature preserve. Untreated mineral water flows continuously through flumes in a Japanese-style Fluminarium at about 100 to 109F, and the bathing area is clothing optional and device free. Confirmed reservations are required for both day use and overnight stays, and only guests 13 and older are admitted.

Jackson WellSprings
A mineral springs retreat on 30 acres along Bear Creek, about 2.5 miles from downtown Ashland, with a 95-foot swimming pool, a hot tub, a sauna, a steam room and private tubs. The spring water arrives at about 103°F, and the venue says it uses no chlorine or bromine. Daytime sessions are family friendly; evening sessions are adults-only and clothing-optional.

Lithia Springs Resort
A hotel on West Jackson Road about 3 miles from downtown Ashland that pipes warm, sulfur-rich spring water to its rooms, many of which have private soaking tubs or mineral showers. The water surfaces at about 90°F and is aerated to release sulfur gas. Soaking is for overnight guests; there is also a seasonal saline pool, a Jacuzzi and a small spa.
